Elizabeth A. “Betty” Bristow, 87, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, February 21, 2010, of natural causes.
Elizabeth Alma Dunkelberger was born March 19, 1922 on the family farm in Benton County, Iowa, daughter of Alvin and Eva Mengel Dunkelberger.
She married Roy M. Bristow on May 31, 1952; he died July 3, 1990. Betty was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Betty is survived by her son Roy A. and his wife Deb of Waterloo; son Vern of Hamel, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Cole Bristow, Cayler Bristow and Chelsie Bristow; brother Ralph Dunkelberger and his wife Gloria of La Porte City; sisters Alvina Koepke and Ella Feller and her husband Duane, both of Denver, Iowa; and brother George Dunkelberger of Vinton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, brother Archie Dunkelberger, and sister Vera Palmer.
