Beatrice L Orth, 91, of Barronett, WI, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Cumberland Extended Care Unit. She was born April 15, 1918 in the woods near Barronett, WI, daughter of Thomas and Jenny (Turner) Jerry.
Beatrice was married in Barron, WI on January 8, 1934 to Erwin (Bud) Orth. He died on January 10, 1980. They moved to Iowa where they farmed until moving to Waterloo.
She was a nurse's aide for many years at Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Beatrice worked for a time at the Silver Lake Store after moving to her cottage on Silver Lake. In 2001 she moved to Barronett.
She was a member of Barronett Lutheran Church and Trniity American Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
Beatrice is survived by 3 sons, George (Bonnie) Orth of Waterloo, IA, LeRoy (Dorothy) Orth of Barronett, WI, and John (Marilyn) Orth of Greeley, CO; 1 daughter, Geraldine (Mel) Pittman of Barronett; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren, brother John Jerry of Grand Rapids, MN; and very special friend, Genevieve Paulson. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, 1 grandson, 1 great granddaughter, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
