Biography Information
Barbara E. Rose, 88, of Evansdale, Iowa, died at Martin Health Center of Western Home Communities on Thursday, August 11, 2011.
Barbara Elaine Rhoades was born August 16, 1922 in Jefferson, Iowa, daughter of William C. and Martha Kelley Rhoades.
She married Elza M. Rose on April 21, 1946 in Waterloo, Iowa. He died October 22, 2003.
She graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson.
Mrs. Rose is survived by three sons: Dwight (Nancy), Mark, and Kevin (Shelley), all of Waterloo; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister Peggy Dunne of Churdan, Iowa; and brother Robert (Rita) Rhoades of Jefferson. She is preceded in death by her husband Elza, brother Joseph Rhoades, sister Joyce Kinsman, and brother-in-law Gerald Dunne.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I am sending you this message to let you know that I am thinking of you. I can't attend the ceremony, but I will be with you in spirit. And I will visit you in Iowa next week.
