I didn't get to know Larry until lately. I just got to know him a little. My mother (Jane)grew close to him and loved him dearly. I am pleased that they did get to share some good times together and also the days that were hard. Larry opened up to us all, sharing his road. He wanted to stay here, now that they had found my mother's love, but that wasn't to be. Larry has changed my mother's heart, he gave her a gift. The gift of taking care of someone when they needed it the most. She did a job that an army of nurses could not have done. Because she did it out of love from her heart.
She never complained, although I worried about her. I kept a closer eye on her to make sure she could handle things. I was able to meet his sister Milly, two daughters, some grandchildren and of course Monk.
I wish things could have went differently for us all. Larry will be missed.
