Biography Information
Alyce Paulyne Jacob Pritchard, 74, of Evansdale, died at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City Thursday, September 22, 2011.
She was born September 3, 1937 in Lehigh, daughter of Paul E. and Olive F. Waggoner Jacob. Alyce married Eddie D. Pritchard June 5, 1955 in Lehigh. She graduated from Lehigh High School in 1955. Alyce worked for School Bus Sales as a secretary and bookkeeper for 16 years retiring in 1994. She was a member of Kimball Ave. United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women, serving on several committees. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies.
Survived by her husband; son David (Kimberly), Waterloo; daughter: Teresa (Dennis) Kaltenheuser, Elkhart; sisters: Beverly Williams, Geraldine Dellachiesa, and Paulette (Darrell) Curtis, all of Lehigh; and grandchildren: Amanda and Allison Pritchard and Karen and Michael Kaltenheuser.
Preceded by: parents, brothers Buddy and Charles Jacob, and brothers-in-law: Modio Dellachiesa, Donald Smith and Elmer Williams.

Your mother certainly was a beautiful woman. Losing one's mother at such a young age is always difficult. Her promise has been fulfilled. We are born into this earthly life to live until we are called to have everlasting life. Thinking of you at this difficult time.

What a beautiful picture of Alyce. I'm so sorry to hear about this. You both were wonderful neighbors to me out at Cedar Knoll. Now Alyce and Dean are in Heaven together sharing conversations. I will miss both of them. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family. Alyce was a wonderful lady.
