I was so saddened to get this news. I worked with Bill at the John Deere Product Engineering Center from 1980 to 1983 and being both farm boys (and single at the time) we quickly became good fiends and spent a lot of weekend time together when we could. I could tell that Bill was very fond of his family heritage...the farm and the church, and he gladly shared all of this with me. I will remember these times vividly and I trust that Bill's faith has ushered him to a new and better place. May we all honor Bill by considering those left with us, and reach out to each other as best we can in the name of our Savior. Until then, we will miss you, Bill, and my deepest sympathy goes to the family and all of Bill's friends. Keep looking up!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Bill's family and friends. I still remember very clearly, the day that I interviewed Bill here at the Hampton Inn. We all really loved working with him and will never forget all the thoughtful things he did for guests and employees alike. He would bring cookies in for everyone's birthdays, even on his day off! May the Lord bring you comfort and peace.

I was shocked when my mom called me with the news about Bill. He was kind-hearted and a real joy to have as a classmate at Orange School. Bill was always willing to help me with my homework whenever I needed it. (One of the perks of living in the neighborhood around the school!) :) Bill was one of the few that I went through school with at Orange, K-11. Orange closed and we had to go to Central High School for our senior year. After our last class reunion pictures were taken and knowing Bill was involved in organizing it, I told him I'd like to buy a picture. A few weeks later I received a 5x7 photo with a note from Bill to enjoy the picture and that it was good to see everyone again!! He was just that kind of guy, kind and thoughtful. Thank you for letting me share a few memories. Bill will be greatly missed!! To his family, co-workers and friends, I am very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.
