I am so sorry to learn of Darlene's passing.
We were always so happy to see her at the family reunions we would try to have each year when we got back to Iowa. We will miss her very much.
With Our Deepest Sympathy, Jeanne and Steve Wiant

I was very saddened to learn of Darlene’s death. Growing up with Darlene as a neighbor and best friend was as good as it gets. I will always cherish the memories of neighborhood games on summer evenings; kick the can, Captain may I?, hide & seek, or playing 500 with a tennis ball & racket out in the middle of 10th street. But I think my favorite memories are of just the two of us on rainy summer afternoons, when we’d walk to the West Side Library. After browsing every shelf in the youth department, we would each leave with a stack of books and go back to her house to read with a big bowl of popcorn between us.
Darlene was a great childhood friend, and I am glad that we were able to reconnect and share our life stories in these last ten years.
I know you will all miss her! Jo an Luttrell Sutula

I have many good memories of your Mom. She was always good to me and I know she loved me and Jennifer.
