Biography Information
Jonas Gallardo-Parra, 40, of Hiawatha, Iowa, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, November 25, 2011 of injuries received in an auto accident.
He was born April 30, 1971 in Acapulco, Mexico, son of Cresencio and Sylia Parra Gallardo.
Jonas married Tara Kloberdanz in 1996 in Waterloo and they later divorced. He married Lourdes Galvez in 2009.
He worked in customer service at the Thomas L. Cardella Co. in Cedar Rapids and was attending Kirkwood College.
Jonas is survived by his wife of Hiawatha, sons Diego and Andres Gallardo and daughters Brisa and Sofia Gallardo, his parents of Acapulco, two sisters and four brothers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Tara, Orlando and the entire Gallardo family! Diego, Andres, & Brisa, your dad was an amazing loving father! I remember when he would pick you up from school, he would stand near the door and open his arms and run to each of you, pick you up and hug you forever! He loved you all so much and everyone could see it! He was a fun and loving dad and he will be missed by everyone that knew him! You are amazing kids and are welcome at our house anytime, and if Lucas had his way we would all live together as one big happy family! ;) We love you all!

My thoughts and prayers are with Tara, Diego, Andre, Brisa and all who knew Jonas. Along with being a loving father he was a very talented artist. His jewelry brought many smiles to my mother.

Jonas and I shared a fiction class together last year and we've kept in touch ever since. I remember fondly all the great conversations we shared over lunch, laughing at my poor Spanish skills as we discussed Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
He's a good man. And I'll miss him greatly. My condolences go out to Tara, Diego, Andre, and Brisa. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Jonas at work about 20 years ago. This saddens me deeply to hear of his loss. Jonas was a very loving family man who always smiled and put smiles on the faces of people around him. Please accept my prayers and condolences to his family. May God bless you and watch over you at this very sad time.
