Service Options

We offer a wide range of services which enable families to design meaningful, personalized, and appropriate funerals. The following is a list of some of those services. We bring to bear years of experience and education in helping you choose a funeral service that best meets your needs. Please feel free to contact us for that help or with questions you may have regarding items of service or cost.

The list is not as complicated as it may appear. There are three areas of services, and therefore cost, associated with a funeral. The first area is services provided by the funeral home (facilities, staff, equipment, etc.); the second area are other expenses outside of funeral home services (honoraria, flowers, etc.); the third area is the things you may purchase from the funeral home (casket, vault, printed service material, etc.). The list includes both itemized offerings of service as well as packages of services (which are compiled for simplicity and economy's sake). Examples of these packages are our traditional funeral service package and cremation service packages

We also offer a complete funeral service package for those who purchase complete funeral services and merchandise from us. It is available if you purchase both funeral service items and a casket from us.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

A. *Services of Staff

Our fee for the services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party; preparation and filing of necessary authorization, certificates, and permits; preparation of obituary notices; also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs.

*Iowa Law, Sec. 645-100.5(4)"a" requires embalming if final disposition does not take place within 48 hrs. or Sec. 645-100.5(1)"b" in the case of death by communicable diseases.
