What is an RSS Feed?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds can include news, video and audio and it is a way for publishers to provide current content to busy subscribers. An RSS feed is a format to deliver updated and ever changing content to the end user based on their interests and preferences. It is a way to stay informed in a non-traditional way. You no longer have to track down the latest obituary from us, subscribing to our RSS means the information will come to you, nicely packaged and ready to read.

Secondly, you can subscribe with a RSS Reader:
A RSS Reader, like Google Reader, allows you to subscribe to all feeds that you are interested in. Once your account is created with Google you can paste our RSS feed, https://www.lockefuneralhome.com/obituaries?format=feed, into the subscription box and hit add. Each time an obituary is updated it will automatically show up in our account. Here is a screen shot of how to subscribe with Google Reader.
