Prior to coming to the Cedar Valley Maureen Doherty was a teacher, parole officer, HIV/AIDS Counselor, social service agency director and legal assistant. Maureen has been in the Cedar Valley since July of 2002, beginning her parish ministry at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Waverly, Iowa. She was at St. Andrew's until 2008. Since that time she has served at St. Luke's and Trinity Episcopal Churches and in Campus Ministry at UNI. She began working in Continuous Care Grief support in 2016. Each of these ministries has afforded Maureen the opportunity to be with individuals and families through the joys of birth, the blessings and challenges of family life, illnesses and death.
Maureen graduated from the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, TX in 2001 and was ordained an Episcopal Priest in 2003.
