Brent J. Hoffert, 68, of Washburn, IA, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital.


He was born on July 28, 1951 in Faulkton, SD, to Joseph P. and Adaline M. Cunningham Hoffert.


Brent had worked at Ray's SuperValu Store, then to John Deere for over 20 years retiring in 2006. He also worked at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas.


He married Michelle Mosley and they later divorced. Brent has had a close relationship with Janet Stanton since 1995.


He was a member of UAW Local #838.


Brent is survived by his daughters, Jessy (Jared) Hueneke‚ Hinton‚ IA, Jenna Hoffert‚ Cedar Falls, and Joleen Jungling‚ Aplington‚ IA; his significant other, Janet Stanton‚ Washburn‚ IA; sister, Loretta (Bob) Tuscherer‚ Lennox‚ SD; brothers, Louis (Cathy) Hoffert‚ Cresco‚ IA and Roger (Kandi) Hoffert‚ Fairbank‚ IA; 9 grandchildren, Chance, Hunter, Lexie, Sophia, Charles Jr., Lakin, Lyric, Memphis, and Hudson; and great-grandson, Zane.


He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond Hoffert.

    We are going to miss Brent alot. He was a great fisherman and a friend when we were at the lake. Rest in peace and catch the big crappies in heaven.
