I have known Juanita for many years through being members of St Ansgar Lutheran Church.  I am a musician there, playing piano, organ, guitar and singing too.  Also I accompanied the choir for years.  Juanita was ALWAYS a ray of sunshine and always enjoyed the music and had a great voice.  I could always hear her voice out of the congregation when there was a song.  She would also compliment me on my music many times.  She was a kind, considerate, loving and positive person.  I consider her one of my favorite people that I have ever known.  I highly respected and admired her.  She will be greatly missed! My thoughts and prayers to Juanita's family.  I also enjoyed visiting with Eddie and Juanita.

Juanita Sage was one of my "favorites" when volunteering at NewAldaya.  I met her when Eddie went on the Honor Flight with my father-in-law.  She knew me (7th math teacher) as "one of Eddie's Math Friends". I would often take Juanita to Chapel on Sunday mornings and sometimes to the Thursday Hymn Sings. Juanita loved to sing the old-time hymns! My favorite memory of Juantia occurred this past November.  There was an Irish group playing in the Pub at NAL, one Monday night.  My husband and I were there to listen to our friend who was in the group.  The music was wonderful so I suggested to my husband that we go get Juanita and her best friend (who was also in a wheel chair.)  Those two gals really loved the music (along with getting to go on this "outing" together)!  They were "all smiles" when we returned them upstairs to their rooms.Juanita's face would really "light up" whenever she would see me.  I miss her!
