Biography

Lee Roland Carroll, 34, of Evansdale, Iowa, died October 8, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. He was born April 28, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, to Roland Carroll and Terri Wells.

Lee graduated from Kennedy High School in 2003 and got his associate's degree from Kirkwood Community College, both in Cedar Rapids, then moved onto the University of Iowa where he studied pre-dentistry and received his bachelor's degree. He was also a former student researcher at Veterans Affairs Hospital. Lee moved on to be a manager at Olive Garden in Waterloo. He also worked as an account manager with Wapiti Medical Staffing in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

He married Andrea "Andie" Cahoy on September 14, 2013, at Celebration Farm in Iowa City. They had their first child, Jayden Lee Carroll, on July 29, 2018. They also have a Baby Boy on the way. Lee was a loving husband and a doting father. He was very proud of the family that he and Andrea created.

Lee was also a member of Hope City Church in Waterloo.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea “Andie” Carroll of Evansdale; his one year old son, Jayden Lee Carroll; a baby boy due in December; his father, Roland Carroll; two brothers, Terrell (Jessica) Jones and Ricky Wells; three sisters, Erica (Maurice) Bolden, Crystal (Dustin) Wells and Dominique Carroll, all of Cedar Rapids; his mother- and father-in-law,  Cheryl  and Dan Cahoy; two brothers-in-law, Chris (Sarah) Cahoy and Matthew (Emily) Cahoy; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer (Seth) Smith and Lexi Cahoy; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who loved him very much.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Terri Wells; his grandfather, Alfonzo Turner; and great-grandmother and -grandfather, Josephine and Henry Ford.

Lee was loved and will be missed by many.
