Melvin H. Morris, Jr., 57, of Waterloo, IA died at ManorCare Health Services on Thursday, May 3, 2018 of natural causes.


Melvin Harley Morris, Jr. was born September 22, 1960 in Waterloo the son of Melvin H. Sr. and Verdena E. Cosby Morris. He graduated in 1978 from East High School and worked in the local area for several years. Loved to watch the Minnesota Vikings and play cards. He had a very special relationship with his mother.


He is survived by his mother, Verdena Morris, Evansdale; sister, Gloria Livingston, Des Moines; brother, Ken (Mary Yanez) Livingston, Waterloo; brother: Dale Livingston, Denver, CO; brother, Ron Livingston, Mauston, WI;  brother: Larry Morris, Cedar Rapids, IA; sister: Pam Deckard, Waterloo; and sister: Penny Morenzetti, Livonia, MI.


Melvin is preceded in death by his father.

    Mel lived or was a roommate of mine years ago and was just a great guy all round.  As said earlier his laugh was very contagious.  He will be missed by many. Till we meet again buddy be good.

    He was a good man and will never be forgotten.Loved his mother to no end. Proud to be one of the people of many to have know ole mel. His laugh was contagious ☺..Really gonna miss him..
