Cemetery: Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo Memorials: May be directed to the family Biography Nathan Michael Featherston, 19, of Waterloo, IA, died Monday, June 15, 2020, due to an accidental drowning in the Mississippi River. He was born June 15, 2001 in Spokane, WA, the son of Michael and Lisa Beasley Featherston. Nathan graduated from Waterloo West High School in 2019. He worked at the Ansborough Pizza Hut. Nathan attended Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls, IA with his family. He loved being a big brother and hanging out with friends. He built his first computer during his sophomore year in high school. He enjoyed playing video games, specifically “PC games” and virtual reality systems. Nathan is survived by his parents, a brother, Jonathan Isaiah Featherston, and maternal grandmother, Katy Reed, all of Waterloo, IA; his maternal grandfather, Leslie Beasley of Tucson‚ AZ; aunts and uncles: Alan & Pam Beasley of Post Falls, ID, Kurt & Jan Borgwardt of Waterloo, IA, Eric Beasley of Bellingham, WA, Dennis & Lauretta Minnick of Terlton, OK, Donna Featherston of Huron, OH, Charles & Ann Crouse of Phoenix, AZ, Gary & Eva Schlichting of Traer, IA, Barry Stuenkel & Donna Reed of Martindale, TX, Scott Reed & Pat Faldyn of Lexington, TX, and Mike Reed of Elgin, TX; and many great aunts, great uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Chase Justin Featherston; grandfather, Robert Gray Featherston of Phoenix, AZ; paternal grandmother, Haroldine Wolfe Sweatt of Wichita Falls, TX; uncle, Brad Featherston of Sandusky, OH; step-grandfather, Donald Reed of Waterloo, IA; and step-grandmother, Billie Beasley of Tucson, AZ.
