Randy Lee Hile, 55, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at ManorCare Health Services following a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.

He was born May 18, 1963 in Waterloo, the son of Melvin and Lillian Sterner Hile. He graduated from Central High School in 1981 and attended Hawkeye Community College.

Randy was employed at Bossard North America, Inc. in Cedar Falls prior to his illness.

Randy liked the Chicago Cubs, John Wayne movies, trains, his red Ford Mustang, and old Ford trucks.

He is survived by his mother, Lillian Hile, a brother, Scott Hile, an aunt, Iva Hall, all of Waterloo; and his cousins: Steve (Katrina) Grosse, Oklahoma, Debra Grosse, Des Moines, Sheri Davis, Waterloo, Julie Grosse, Cedar Falls, Michael (Heather) Hall, Dysart, Susan (Brian) Sayer, Waterloo, and Jan Grogan and Mark (Linda) Kuhn, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Albert and Kathlyn Hile; maternal grandparents, George and Agnes Sterner; aunts, Charlotte Hile Grosse and Lois Sterner Kuhn; and a cousin, Gail O'Connor.

    i am so sorry for your loss! Randy was always

    kind! My family thought the world of Randy!

    I was the babysitter years sgo!

    i can hear my Dad, Herbert Lentsch teasing 

    and laughing with Randy! He loved my

    mothers Mae Lentsch cookies and baked

    goods! Randy will be missed by all!  i will

    keep you all in our prayers. Mae and shelly
