Scott Azbill, 56, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away on Friday, July 24th after a long battle with esophageal cancer.

Scott was born at Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo to Linn and Donna Azbill on January 5th, 1964.  Scott attended West High School and joined the Army after he finished school. He most recently worked as a welder for Unverferth Manufacturing for over 10 years. In his free time, Scott enjoyed fishing, playing golf, cheering on his beloved New Orleans Saints, jamming out to old rock music on his guitar, and riding his Harley around town.

He is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Alli (fiancé Jered) Azbill of Ames; sister, Toni (Scott) Hoeppner of Evansdale; brothers, Greg (Debbie) Azbill of Waterloo, Lowell (Melody) Azbill of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Penny Azbill of Waterloo and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Linn and Donna Azbill; his brothers Linn E. Azbill and Billy Azbill and his sister Tammy Azbill.

The Azbill family would like to thank all of those who helped care for Scott, came to visit, helped with household chores, and supported our family through this difficult time. We would also like to thank Cedar Valley Hospice. We can never thank you all enough.
