Bill Day was an exceptionally good man. He was also our neighbor. He was one of my best friends dad.

I always enjoyed our conversations in the years before I left Waterloo. Always interesting, humorous and a very wise man.

Over 55 years ago, I was a very young child, he pulled me out of the path of a speeding car. He may have saved my life! I still remember that and the long, wise lecture that quickly followed.

My deepest sympathy and sadness to the fine family he raised.

The world will always miss the presence of such fine people like Bill Day

     Thank-you Bill

My grandparents, Russell and Maria lived two houses from the Days on Bertch Ave.  My dad, Mark eventually bought that house.  Mr. Day was always very kind to me when I was a little kid and would spend time chatting with me on the front porch of his home.  I was a motor mouthed kid that would talk your ear off for hours if you let me and Mr. Day never seemed to mind.  My condolences to the entire family during this difficult time.

Bill Day was one of the greatest men that I have ever met. He was always pleasant and positive. He loved to laugh. He did a lot of good things for a lot of people. He was one of my Dad's best friends. They played a lot of golf together and genuinely enjoyed each other. God bless you and all of your family, Bill. Thank you for everything that you did for me growing up.

    We're sure gonna miss you.

Bill was pleasure to be around during his stay here at Mallard Point. I really enjoyed having conversations with him anywhere in the community, especially when he would sit right outside of my office. We had some deep conversations about sports but he really LOVED the Hawks. Bill was a true inspiration to me and I want to thank the family for giving us the opportunity to get to know him. Bill was a Very Good man and he will truly be missed and I would like to offer my sincere condolences, God Bless you All.
